What is an Account?

Each occasion of anaesthetic service is treated as one Account. Each account is given a unique Account number to identify it. These start from 1001 and are incremented by one for each account added. Where one patient has multiple anaesthetic services, there is simply a new record for each occasion of service, and each of these will have a unique account number. There are methods to simplify locating all accounts for a given patient and these are described in the Copying from another account section.
