Backup failed with error message

Single users - check that you don't have Access Anaesthetics opened twice. If you do, this will cause the backup to fail. Then, go to the Maintenance Menu and click <Refresh table links>. Then try the backup again. With Windows 7, it is easy to open AA twice or more times, and the icons for each instance appear on top of each other in the taskbar. You need to click each in succession to restore the screen to a visible size, then quit each until no more icons exist.
Group practices - all other users of AA on all PCs must be out of the system for the multiuser backup to succeed. To see if other users are still active, click Select Provider > Show files in use. If there is more than one doctor's file listed, then it is likely that someone else is using the system. To be sure of this, click the <Relink tables> button and view the files in use when this completes.
